The Tale of the Celebrated King Stone

As per Khasi folklore, there once raged a monumental battle among stones, and emerging victorious in these encounters was Mawryngkhang, subsequently crowned as the King Stone, referred to as U Mawryngkhang.

Legend has it that Mawryngkhang found itself entangled in a tale of love, a love story reminiscent of classic narratives, forming a love triangle involving Mawryngkhang, a stone named 'Kthiang' from another realm, and Mawpator, who also harbored affection for Kthiang.

This rivalry set the stage for a fierce showdown between the stones. In the heat of competition, Mawpator succeeded in breaking Mawryngkhang's left hand. However, Mawryngkhang, a formidable warrior, refused to accept defeat. Ultimately, U Mawryngkhang and Kthiang found their path to happiness, and they lived happily ever after.
