Malvandi Lake Campsite:
Malvandi lake is one of the famous manmade lakes situated in Maval taluka at a distance of 10 kilometers from Kamshet on the old Mumbai- Pune highway. The lake was formed by the nearby waters of the Pawna dam. The quaint and serene Malvandi Lake makes for the picture-perfect destination as it is situated near the hill station of Lonavala. It is the bang on spot for camping and to spend some relaxing time in the company of family and friends. The backwaters of the lake conjure a magnificent vista. Malvandi lake is also a famous destination amongst tourists and nature lovers due to its propinquity to many forts, hills, waterfalls, trekking destinations, and caves. Malvandi lake is surrounded by many historic forts and hills of Maval such as Lohagad, Tung, Tikona, Visapur. One can go for a trek to these mountains, the next morning to add more thrill to your story. Nestled right in the lap of nature, the Malvandi lake is a laid-back destination seamless for indulging in Maharashtra's exquisiteness. Malavandi Campsite Stay:
A camping trip is incomplete without staying in a tent. Our camp managers will allot you tents according to your group size and requirements. The tents are pitched at a mound opening towards the Malvandi lakefront and mountains. The tents are roomy and cozy with futons, cushions, and blankets to ensure your comfort. If you want to learn to pitch a tent, our camp manager will guide you and you can pitch your tent.
Activities at the Malvandi Lake Campsite:
Now that you’ve booked your much-awaited weekend getaway camping trip, you’re in for a gala time. All the guests at the campsite are greeted with hot pakoras alongside some hot beverages prepared by local people. You can take a walk around and campsite expanse or sit by the lake and skip stones. Trust us, skipping stones is a super fun game that turns quite competitive when you’re playing with your buddies. You can also play team games like football, volleyball, cricket, and badminton with your squad. If you are not someone who wants to play and sweat it out, get along your favorite book or a musical instrument and sit by the lake to spend the evening away. For all the thrill-seekers out there, we also have provision for Kayaking across the lake.
Awaken the photographer in you by engaging in the landscape as well as candid photography throughout this trip. Malvandi Lake campsite has the best sunset that you will ever get to witness. How to reach the Malavandi campsite:
Malvandi is easily accessible from Mumbai and Pune. You can drive up to the campsite by taking the old Mumbai-Pune Highway. There is also an option of taking a train to Lonavala and traveling to the campsite in a local jeep which can be shared among 8-10 people. A lot of state transport busses also operate via Lonavala, therefore, from the Lonavala railway station you can take a bus and get off at the Pawna Nagar bus stop and walk to the campsite or travel in a jeep.
