Gurez Valley Tour - Explore Kashmir's Hidden Valley

A scenic valley in the North of India, Gurez is a hidden gem of Kashmir. Surrounded by lush green mountains, this valley offers breathtaking views and a chilly weather! The Gurez Valley is a little-known destination within Kashmir. It is the last vestige of wilderness in this region. Wild rivers and lakes, lush forests, deep gorges and rushing waterfalls make this valley a paradise for nature-lovers. The place has been untouched by modern civilization so far; at least until now!

 

Gurez Valley Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Srinagar

  • Arrival: Arrive at Srinagar Airport.
  • Transfer: Transfer to your hotel in Srinagar.
  • Accommodation: Check-in at the hotel.
  • Evening: Relax after your journey. Consider a stroll around Dal Lake or visit a local market.
  • Accommodation: Overnight stay at the Srinagar hotel.

 

Day 2: Srinagar to Gurez Valley

  • Morning: Early breakfast and check-out from the Srinagar hotel.
  • Transfer: Drive to Gurez Valley. The journey takes approximately 6-7 hours, depending on road conditions.
  • Lunch: Enjoy a packed lunch or stop at a local eatery on the way.
  • Arrival: Check-in at your accommodation in Gurez Valley.
  • Evening: Relax and take in the serene surroundings of Gurez Valley.
  • Accommodation: Overnight stay in Gurez Valley.

 

Day 3: Gurez Valley to Tulail

  • Morning: Breakfast at your accommodation.
  • Transfer: Travel to Tulail Valley. The journey is approximately 2-3 hours.
  • Activities: Explore the beautiful landscapes of Tulail. You can enjoy nature walks, visit local villages, and experience the unique culture of the region.
  • Lunch: Packed lunch or at a local restaurant.
  • Evening: Return to Gurez Valley.
  • Accommodation: Overnight stay in Gurez Valley.

 

Day 4: Gurez Valley to Srinagar

  • Morning: Breakfast at your accommodation in Gurez Valley.
  • Transfer: Drive back to Srinagar.
  • Lunch: Enjoy lunch en route or upon arrival in Srinagar.
  • Arrival: Check-in at the houseboat on Dal Lake.
  • Afternoon/Evening: Relax and enjoy the houseboat experience. You can take a Shikara ride on Dal Lake or visit local markets.
  • Accommodation: Overnight stay in the houseboat.

 

Day 5: Departure from Srinagar

  • Morning: Breakfast on the houseboat.
  • Check-Out: Check out from the houseboat and transfer to Srinagar Airport.
  • Departure: Fly out for your onward journey.

  • Permits: Ensure you have the necessary permits for traveling to Gurez Valley, as it is a restricted area.
  • Travel: Roads to Gurez Valley can be challenging, so be prepared for a long journey with potential delays.
  • Accommodation: Confirm bookings for accommodations in Gurez Valley and Tulail as options may be limited.
  • Clothing: Pack warm clothing as temperatures can drop significantly, especially in Gurez Valley and Tulail.

    • Transportation: Srinagar to Srinagar all local travel in SUVs/Sedan/ Force Traveler or similar.
    • Nights Accommodation: (Srinagar 2 night in houseboat & Hotel 2 nights in hotel Gurez 08
    • Meals: Srinagar (2 Dinners + 2 Breakfasts), Shikara ride in Srinagar.
    • Airport drop facility on a Customized or sharing basis (1 0 AM). Experienced and cool Trip Captain. Reliable and experienced local drivers to drive in the difficult terrains. Driver allowances, toll taxes, parking, state taxes.

    What is NOT included in the tour

    • Any extra meals apart from the ones mentioned under inclusions. Travel Insurance, items of personal nature like porterage, tips, laundry etc.
    • Ropeway charges, pahalgam internal Transport or other activities you do there
    • Any entry fees, extra expenses for optional activities Tickets, unless quoted in Inclusions.
    • Any other costing involved due to circumstances like natural calamity, weather conditions, riots, roadblocks, landslides or any other forced circumstances which are out of our control. GST (5%) is applicable extra. Anything which is not mentioned in the above inclusions
