Chopta - Surrounded by lush green. Known as Bugyals, these lush greens of Chopta are a part of Kedarnath Wildlife Sanctuary and Kanchula Kharak Deer Sanctuary. Famous for Musk Deer, the area's lush green has christened it as "Mini Switzerland of Uttarakhand."
Situated at 2600 meters above Sea Level, the pleasant weather of Chopta makes even the summers of the Himalayas beautiful.
The Tungnath Temple - Situated at 3500 meters, this is the world's highest Shiva Temple; the name is derived from the word that means the lord of the peaks. The place with high spiritual significance is one of the most trekked places from Chopta.
The Chandrashila Peak - Just a km away from Tunganath, Chandrashila Peak offers the best view of the whole Himalayan range. The rivers Alaknanda and Bhagirathi merge here, and their union is known as Ganga, making it a sacred space for the Hindus to visit and worship.
